Itinerary - Eight day tour

 

Day 1: Highlights of Cape Town

• Table Mountain in aerial cableway 
• Bo-Kaap's vibrant Cape malay quarters
• Lunch at V&A Waterfront
• Robben Island ferry ride and historical prison tour
• Disembark back at the Waterfront and arrival back at guesthouse at around 6pm
  

 

Day 2: Peninsula Tour

• Eastern peninsula coastal drive to Simonstown
• Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach
• Lunch at Simonstown or Boulders Beach
• Cape point and the Cape of Good Hope
• Shopping at an ostrich farm
• Western peninsula coastal drive through Hout Bay and Camps Bay
  
  

 

Day 3: Oudtshoorn

• The beautiful Route 62 drive through scenery of towering cliffs, streams and winelands
• Stop along the way for a cold beverage at a popular pub visited by people from all over the world
• Lunch at Barrydale
• Arrive at accommodation in Oudtshoorn
• Tour of an ostrich farm

 

Day 4: Oudtshoorn

• Tour of South Africa's oldest tourist attraction, the Cango Caves
• Lunch
• Cango Wildlife Ranch
• Overnight in Oudtshoorn

Day 5: Knysna

• Transfer to Knysna
• Lunch in town
• Leisure and shopping time at the Knysna waterfront
• Dinner cruise on Knysna lagoon, passing Knysna Heads and the Featherbed Nature Reserve
• Overnight in Knysna

 

Day 6: Knysna or Tsitsikamma activities

• Choice of activities this morning: sightseeing and shopping in Knysna, Monkeyland or Tsitsikamma Adventure Tours.
• Lunch and bird viewing at Birds of Eden (largest single free-flight aviary in the world)
• Elephant sanctuary visit
• Overnight in Knysna

Forest walk, entrance fee to National Park
3 Waterfalls Zipline Tour

Day 7: Knysna to Safari Game Lodge

• Drive along the beautiful garden route stopping for lunch and sightseeing
• Afternoon game drive at Botlierskop private game reserve
• Dinner and overnight at Botlierskop 4 star lodge

Helicopter flight (Game reserve to Mossel Bay)
Elephant back ride
Horseback safari

 

Day 8: Game Lodge to Cape Town

• Breakfast and game drive
• Lunch at Botlierskop
• Depart for Cape Town via the N2, passing through the winelands
• Arrival in Cape Town in the early evening

Price per person sharing a double or twin room. Based on minimum of 4 people. Please contact us for single supplement and group bookings. Price includes breakfasts and lunches. Dinner is only included on day 5 and 7. Although refreshments are occasionally provided, beverages are excluded from price.

We also offer airport transfers and arrangements for flying in (arrival) day and departure day. Please let us know if you require this service.
