Itinerary - Ten day tour
Day 1: Highlights of Cape Town
- Table Mountain in aerial cableway
- Bo-Kaap's vibrant Cape malay quarters
- Lunch at V&A Waterfront
- Robben Island ferry ride and historical prison tour
- Disembark back at the Waterfront
Day 2: Peninsula Tour
- Eastern peninsula coastal drive to Simonstown
- Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach
- Lunch at Simonstown or Boulders Beach
- Cape point and the Cape of Good Hope
- Shopping at an ostrich farm
- Western peninsula coastal drive through Hout Bay and Camps Bay
Day 3: Shark Cage diving or Wine Tour
- Breakfast at the shark centre and shark briefing
- Boat ride out to Shark Alley
- Cage diving or viewing from boat
- De-briefing at shark centre
- Leisure time in afternoon in Hermanus Village. Sights: craft market, curio shops, whale watching (July - January), sea view restaurants and bars, beaches, wine tasting, walking trails
Or . . .
- Wine tour in the scenic Hemel en Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley
- Brunch at a wine estate
- Leisure time in afternoon in Hermanus Village. Sights: craft market, curio shops, whale watching, sea view restaurants and bars, beaches, walking trails
Day 4: Whale viewing (whale season: July - January) and Stanford
- Whale viewing boat excursion or optional guided kayaking instead (July - January)
And / or . . .
- Visit town of Stanford: cheese factory, a beer brewery (open Wednesday to Sunday) or wine farm (February - June)
- Afternoon leisure time in Hermanus can be spent relaxing on the beach or walking through the Fernkloof Nature Reserve
Day 5: Oudtshoorn
- The beautiful Route 62 drive through scenery of towering cliffs, streams and winelands
- Stop along the way for a cold beverage at a popular pub visited by people from all over the world
- Lunch at a small country town
- Arrive at accommodation in Oudtshoorn
- Tour of an ostrich farm
Day 6: Oudtshoorn
- Tour of South Africa's oldest tourist attraction, the Cango Caves
- Lunch
- Cango Wildlife Ranch
- Overnight in Oudtshoorn

Day 7: Knysna
- Transfer to Knysna and lunch in town

Day 8: Knysna, Plettenberg Bay or Tsitsikamma and Safari
- Choice of activities this morning: sightseeing and shopping in Knysna, Monkeyland or Tsitsikamma Adventure Tours.
- Lunch and bird viewing at Birds of Eden (largest single free-flight aviary in the world!)
- Visit to elephant sanctuary
- Overnight in Knysna
